You have overeaten, overworked, stressed out, oversexed, or plugged the body with stimulants: caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, drugs…
You know them. Strong men, vigorous men, robust men – men who never had a sick day in their lives. They drive. They drive themselves to the limit. They lash themselves over the limit with food, work, sex, and stimulants. They crack. Often, they crash. And they know that they are more likely to leave the world much earlier than their peers. Many people sit for hours every day and have spine and many other associated problems. They realized that sitting for too long is no good. So, some of them tried to stand as much as they could to replace the sitting position.

I often hear people say:
“If doctors cannot even cure the disease, I cannot do anything about it.”
“If I could do it myself, what are the doctors for?!”
“The World Health Organization believes the disease is incurable. We can do nothing but seeking emotional support to live with the disease.”

Are you tired all the time? Do you feel like all the energy has been sucked out of your life?
When our bodies do not produce enough or the right kinds of energy, we suffer from fatigue and loss of vitality, even though we may not have an identifiable illness in Western medicine. This loss of vitality keeps us from being all we can be and should be. Creating and managing our body’s energy is essential to long-term health. When our body or part of the body is seriously depleted of its energy, disease strikes; when our body can no longer create energy, we die. My foodie group of friends regularly hosts parties, dinners, and gatherings revolving around good food and great company. We met each other when our kids were little and played together. Now most of us are empty nesters but still enjoy getting together often. For each party we have a different culinary theme, such as Italian, French, Mexican, Greek, and Chinese food. This month, it was Moroccan food and we did it differently than before. Instead of selecting our own favorite dish to cook and share, we drew for Moroccan recipes and cooked whatever each of us drew. I drew a recipe for a spicy rabbit dish.
I have neither cooked nor eaten rabbit before, although I heard that in some regions, especially Europe, rabbit is a common meat to consume. Continue reading “Do You Consider Food Energy Effects on Your Body When You Select Food?”

There are many traditional Chinese holidays related to what foods you should eat at various times of the year. Laba(Làbā, 腊八) is one of them. Laba is the eighth day of the twelfth month in the lunar calendar, which usually falls in the middle of January in the Western solar calendar (January 24 this year). This is the coldest time of the year. The Chinese have rice soup mixed with many nuts and seeds for this holiday. There are many different recipes for this soup from different regions. Many use regular or glutinous rice, millet, red beans, dried jujubes, chestnuts, peanuts, walnuts, and lotus seeds. Cook ingredients long enough to blend thoroughly with rice or other grains. This ensures that the healing properties of the ingredients are completely released into the liquid. For food properties, check out here: http://totallifeenergyplan.com/resources/public/.
